What to do before?
To get the best results, there are a couple of things you can do before going in for you spray tanning session. First, spend a little time exfoliating your skin with a dry body brush. Then, before your appointment, make sure you remove all makeup and foundation. Finally, shave a couple of hours before you go in. You want nothing between your skin and the spray tanning solution for the best result.
What to do after?
After you get your spray tan, there are a couple of things you should be aware of. A spray tan is not a base for further tanning. A spray tan will not protect you from the sun. Protect yourself from UV rays like you normally would. Use a light body butter to make the tan last longer. Avoid excess water on your skin. Take these precautions and you will get the best results from your spray tan.
Your spray tan will fade naturally as your skin cells regenerate. It is best to let the tan fade away before getting a second application, instead of adding another layer to an existing spray. Enjoy your tan for about ten days and then wash it out before getting another application. If you want to get rid of your spray tan before it fades away naturally, you can take a bath with warm water and soap (or shower gel) and scrub it away with a exfoliating mitt.
